Tennessee Governor Bill Lee will speak at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on Tuesday.

Lee posted a photo of him and his wife, First Lady Maria Lee, at the convention on social media, saying, “Great to be in Milwaukee for the 2024 [Republican National Convention].”

“I look forward to addressing the American people this evening in support of [former President Donald Trump] & [JD Vance]. Tune in live during the 5 p.m. CST hour,” Lee added.

On Monday, former President Donald Trump was officially nominated as the Republican presidential nominee by a roll call of GOP delegations from all 50 states, five territories, and the District of Columbia.

Trump also announced that Ohio U.S. Senator JD Vance would be his running mate in the race, and he was subsequently nominated as the former president’s vice presidential nominee.

Lee, who chairs the Republican Governors Association, congratulated Vance for being chosen as Trump’s running mate.

“Senator J.D. Vance has consistently demonstrated an unwavering commitment to Ohioans and the American people by advocating for policies that will restore America’s manufacturing strength, secure our borders to prevent the scourge of fentanyl, and bring meaningful reform to education,” Lee said in his capacity as RGA chair.

“It’s clear that the future of opportunity, security, and freedom is on the ballot this November, which is in stark contrast from the Democrats’ agenda that has failed Americans with record inflation, rampant crime and a weakened global standing. Senator Vance’s inspiring story resonates with millions of Americans who identify with the adversity he faced and overcame, and it’s abundantly clear that he cares deeply about working tirelessly with President Trump to secure a prosperous future for all,” Lee added.

The Republican National Convention’s theme for Tuesday is “Make America Safe Once Again,” focusing on the policy issues of crime and immigration.

In addition to Lee, other speakers anticipated Tuesday include former South Carolina Governor and presidential candidate Nikki Haley and West Virginia Governor Jim Justice, who announced he would be joined on stage by his dog, Babydog.

So that’s the reason Metro PD sent all of the officers up there. Over 100 short in Davidson County, hours long response times, and sending officers out of state for a political convention was a good idea…
